Valley Floors, Inc offers a variety of window treatments to help
We’ll visit your home and help you narrow down the options, measure, and install. It can get overwhelming, but we’ll gladly guide you through the choices. Here are just a few:
Honeycomb/cellular shades
Just like the name suggests, these shades have a hexagonal structure that allows air to get “trapped” in the shade. This is a very effective way to keep cold air or hot sun from entering the room. They are available in 100’s of colors, and from whisper soft sheer, to completely light blocking. They almost disappear when up. They can be ordered in a “Top down/Bottom up” option which allowing the shade to be raised or lowered from the top to offer privacy while enjoying the view.
Solar/Roller shades
Made of a woven fabric which is often certified to meet high emissions certification, some are made of recycled PET plastics, and are all around, beautiful. They are available in light filtering to room darkening. Solar/roller shades effectively block up to 99% of UV rays depending on the weave, or “openness” of the fabric. Because of their light weight, they can be made to cover very large spaces. These are an ideal option for those who suffer from allergies. The smooth fabric is less likely to trap and hold dust or pollen. A simple vacuum is all that is needed to keep them clean. One of the most effective ways to keep the heat, and damaging rays of the sun from your interior, is to install exterior solar shades. They help block the sun before it reaches the glass. They can be installed on porches & patios to allow some privacy, but also make these areas more comfortable. In some cases, they can also block light breezes so your outdoor space can be used when it is a little chilly.
Shutters
Shutters are gaining popularity in our area. Offering a classic look, shutters can cover part, or all of the window. They are a great solution for large spans of glass, like patio doors. Made of wood or materials that are impervious to wet areas, an ideal choice for bathrooms. Wood can be stained to match any interior, including custom colors! Shutters can be a beautiful solution to unusually shaped windows. The vanes can be tilted to allow as little or as much light as you desire. Popular in southern regions of the country, for their effective ability to shade interior spaces. Another great solution for those who suffer with allergies. Shutters on side lights are an ideal way to add privacy to entry doors when needed.
Dual shades
Want the best of both worlds? Dual shades are two shades on one head rail. They can be a simple sheer pleated shade, combined with a room darkening cellular shade, or two roller shades offering everything from complete darkness to light diffusing patterns. The combinations are endless.
We are excited to show you all the possibilities. We invite you to stop into our showroom to see and operate them. We can schedule a virtual appointment if your schedule is hectic. Of course, we offer free in-home consultations where you can see the fabrics in your own setting.
